Golden Star Cricket Club was established by Dr. Majeed in 1971-1972 cricket season, Dr. Majeed worked day and night to run this club, Golden Star Club performed prominently in various city tournaments, 2006 Golden Star Cricket Club was given the right to vote. Dr. Majeed ran the club till 2010. After Dr. Majeed resigned from the Presidentship of the Golden Star Club in October 2010, Wasif Zaman was elected as the president of the club and Shahbaz Ali as the secretary.
Under the Leadership of Wasif Zaman and Shahbaz Ali, Golden Star Club started a new journey and then after 2012, this club started to be counted among the top Cricket clubs of the city. In 2019, Shahbaz Ali became the president of Golden Star Cricket Club and kept the club active in the same way, Shahbaz Ali is the treasurer of Lahore East Zone Cricket Association, he is considered one of the prominent cricket organizers not only in Lahore but also in the country.
Golden Star Club is undoubtedly considered among the prominent clubs of Lahore East Zone Cricket Association and Lahore Region as well.
